Digital Revolution

The digital/AI revolution and the green energy transition are unfolding, leading to unprecedented demand for power allocation and power connections. A movement to restrict power allocation for unsustainable market participants is growing, especially market players not utilizing excess heat emissions. A circular energy storage system, data center and excess heat capture platform will have an outsized advantage in sourcing power and by extension IT clients.

Our Mission

Scandinavian Data Centers (SDC) is aiming to be the world’s most green and circular data centre platform. We strive to create the best possible outcome per allocated MW in terms of climate impact, societal benefit, and risk adjusted economic returns.

Our Goal

Our ambition is to set “the circular standard” to maximise synergies between data centre, energy and heat.

Societal Benefits of a Scandinavian Data Center Establishment

Our vision is for the data center to become the energy, data and heat node of our communities.

Learn More About Circularity

Energy

Battery Energy Storage Solutions (BESS) and UPS can both help stabilize the national and local power grids. The BESS can further strengthen the data centers resilience.

As the power grids in the Nordics are generally highly stable, the data centers back up power can support the grid with capacity at peak utilization and by doing so become part of the green transition instead of exasperating the shortage of power.

Heat

As one of the very few data center companies to design our data centers on the back of the district heating grids capacity to utilize our waste heat, we are striving to create the world’s first carbon negative regional edge data center platform.

By optimally making use of both low density and high density IT work loads, we can together with our partners help both heat our communities and contribute to making them more self-reliant.

In a few notable cases, we can become an entire cities base heat load generating for instance all hot showers year-round from our data centers.

Fiber Connectivity

Acting as onramps to the ever increasing in speed and scope fiber highways, our data center establishments allow for carrier and IT platform neutral hubs for local and non-local companies to help manage their own IT and data operations.

Society

Lowering the costs of heating, strengthening local food production and thereby creating entry level jobs, but perhaps most importantly lowering the amount of carbon emissions heating our homes, a data center can contribute to many parts of society.
